Placing Originals 2. Place the original face down on the exposure glass. Align the original to the rear left corner. DAC006 3. Lower the ADF. Hold down the ADF with your hands when using thick, folded, or bound originals and the ADF cannot be lowered completely. Placing Originals in the Auto Document Feeder By using the ADF, you can scan multiple pages at once. • Do not place different size originals in the ADF at once. • Straighten curled originals before placing them in the ADF. • To prevent multiple sheets from being fed at once, fan the originals before placing them in the ADF. • Make sure that the originals are not placed obliquely. 1. Open the cover of the input tray for the ADF and adjust the guides according to the size of the original. DAC538 85
