S Beam When S Beam is activated, you can beam files to another NFC-capable device by holding the devices close together. You can beam images and videos from your gallery, music files from your music player, and more. 1. Press > and tap Settings > More settings. 2. Tap the ON/OFF slider to turn S Beam On. 3. Touch the back of your phone with another NFC-capable device to transfer content. Nearby Devices Use Nearby devices to share media files with devices via DLNA. 1. Verify Wi-Fi Direct is enabled and you are paired with the device you wish to detect and share content with. 2. Press > and tap Settings > More settings > Nearby devices. 4. Tap File sharing to activate the feature (a green checkmark appears in the adjacent field). 5. At the Nearby devices prompt, tap OK. 6. Configure options for sharing: Tap Shared contents and then check the media you would like to share. Tap OK. Tap Device name and then use the onscreen keyboard to change the name shown to others. Tap Save. Tap Allowed devices list and then select the connected devices you would like to allow. Tap Not-allowed devices list and then select the connected devices you would like to exclude. Tap Download to and then select the destination of any downloaded (shared) content. Choose from Device (phone memory) or SD card (optional memory card, not included). Tap Upload from other devices and then select the actions you'll take when you upload content from other devices. Choose from either Always accept, Always ask, or Always reject. Settings 130
