Auto resend times: enables the phone to resend an outgoing email a specified number of times if delivery fails. Email notifications: enables the phone to display a status bar icon when new email messages have been received. Select ringtone: assigns an audible ringtone when a new or upcoming event is pending. Vibrate: assigns a vibration when a new or upcoming event is pending. Exchange server settings: provides access to the Domain\user name, Password, and Exchange server settings. Incoming settings: lets you view and adjust your incoming (POP3 or IMAP) mail server settings for the selected account. Outgoing settings: lets you view and adjust your outgoing (SMTP) mail server settings for the selected account. Sync email: synchronizes emails between your phone and the remote exchange server. Sync contacts: synchronizes the contacts between your phone and the remote exchange server. Sync calendar: synchronizes your exchange calendar entries between your phone and the remote exchange server. Sync task: synchronizes your exchange tasks entries between your phone and the remote exchange server. Delete an Email Account If you no longer want an email account on your phone, you can delete it through the mail settings menu. 1. Press > and tap Settings. 2. Tap an account and tap Remove account. 3. Tap Remove account again to confirm. Text and Multimedia Messaging With Text Messaging (SMS), you can send and receive instant text messages between your wireless phone and another messaging-ready phone. Multimedia messages (MMS) can contain text and pictures, recorded voice, audio or video files, picture slideshows, contact cards (vCard), or appointments (vCalendar). Accounts and Messaging 72
