Connect a power cable to the hard drive and to the power supply.

Connect the serial ATA cable to the back of the drive and to the SATA
connector on the system board.

If you are replacing a hard drive that contains data that you want to keep,
back up your files before you begin this procedure.

Follow the procedures in "Before You Begin" on page143.

Remove the computer cover (see "Removing the Computer Cover" on
page 145).

Remove the front panel (see "Removing the Front Panel" on page 154).

Disconnect the power cable from the back of the hard drive and from the
power supply.
