4 HP ProtectTools Security Manager Administrative Console HP ProtectTools Security Manager software provides security features that help protect against unauthorized access to the computer, networks, and critical data. Administration of HP ProtectTools Security Manager is provided through the Administrative Console feature. Additional applications are available (select models only) in the Security Manager dashboard to assist with recovery of the computer if it is lost or stolen. Using the console, the local administrator can perform the following tasks: ● Enabling or disabling security features ● Specifying required credentials for authentication ● Managing users of the computer ● Adjusting device-specific parameters ● Configuring installed Security Manager applications ● Adding additional Security Manager applications 21
