Select from [1] (Cassette 1) to [4] (Cassette 4) to use the paper contained in that cassette. If [Auto] is selected, the paper matching the size of the original is selected automatically. NOTE • Specify in advance the size and type of the paper loaded in the cassette (refer to Cassette/MP Tray Settings on page 8-7). • Cassette 3 and Cassette 4 are displayed when the optional paper feeder is installed. To select [MP tray], press [Paper Settings] and specify the paper size and the media type. The available paper sizes and media types are shown in the table below. IMPORTANT When paper size and the media type for MP tray is specified, [Paper Settings] is selected. Note that if [Multipurpose tray] is pressed at this point, the settings will be canceled. NOTE • You can conveniently select in advance the size and type of paper that will be used often and set them as default (refer to MP Tray Setting on page 8-8). • If the specified size of paper is not loaded in the paper source cassette or multi purpose tray, a confirmation screen appears. When [Auto] is selected and the same size of paper as the detected original size is not loaded, a paper confirmation screen appears. Load the required paper in the multi purpose tray and press [Continue] to start copying. 6-13

Paper Selection
Select the cassette or multi-purpose tray that contains the required paper size.
Select from [1] (Cassette 1) to [4] (Cassette 4) to use the paper contained in that cassette.
If [Auto] is selected, the paper matching the size of the original is selected automatically.
To select [MP tray], press [Paper Settings] and specify the paper size and the media type. The available paper sizes and
media types are shown in the table below.
