Using the Hex Dump Mode The printer can print data in hex dump mode, which allows experienced users to find the cause of communication problems between the printer and a software program. In hex dump mode, the printer prints all data received as characters in hexadecimal values. To use hex dump mode, follow these steps: 1. Make sure that paper is loaded in the printer. 2. Hold down both the LF/FF Load and Tear Off buttons while you turn on the printer. 3. Next, run a software program and send a print job to the printer.
