4. Connect the power cable (2) to the drive (as shown in the following figure). This will allow any possible accumulated static electricity to discharge through the ground circuit of the power connector before the drive data circuits are connected. Connect the data cable (1) between the hard drive (shown in the previous figure) and the appropriate serial ATA port (2 in the following figure) using the following port connection sequence: ● Connect the first hard drive (SATA 0) to port SATA0 on the system board. ● Connect the second hard drive (SATA 1) to port SATA1 on the system board.
