Power Switch The power switch supplies electricity to the printer. It has two positions: On (|) and Off (O). P o w e r S w itc h Notes: 1. When you turn the power On (|), a power-on test runs. For the description of the power-on test, see "Power-On Test" on page 3-4. 2. Always wait 10 seconds after turning the power from Off (O) to On (|). 3. Anytime you turn the power On (|), you should verify the top of form position before running a job. See Chapter 1, "Setting Up the 4230 Printer" for adjusting the top of form position for your forms device. Warning: If you turn the power Off (O) while data is in the printer buffer (a temporary storage area) or coming from the computer to the printer, you will lose data. Chapter 3.
