Chapter 6 Component Guide Section Equalizer Output Parameter PEQ ON Level On Setting Range ON/OFF -∞ to ±0 dB ON/OFF Function Turns the PEQ ON Sets the output signal level. Turns output ON. Filter Type Various types of curves are available for changing the level. Click the [Type] button and select the type from the menu. • PEQ This is a general parametric equalizer. • L. SHELF (Low Shelving) There is no sound attenuation at low frequencies. The sound is attenuated at a constant rate from the cutoff frequency towards the higher frequencies. The attenuation rate per octave can be set to [6 dB/Oct] or [12 dB/Oct]. • H.SHELF (High Shelving) There is no sound attenuation at high frequencies. The sound is attenuated at a constant rate from the cutoff frequency towards the lower frequencies. The attenuation rate per octave can be set to [6 dB/Oct] or [12 dB/Oct]. • HPF This is a high-pass filter (Q=0.7). Attenuates the low frequencies with a gentle curve (12 dB/ Oct). • LPF This is a low-pass filter (Q=0.7). Attenuates the high frequencies with a gentle curve (12 dB/ Oct).
