uplink-state group 1 Enter the uplink-state-group-1 configuration mode to: • Disable the uplink-state group 1 configuration. • Configure the defer-timer setting used for UFD link tracking. Syntax uplink-state group 1 Command Modes CONFIGURATION Command History Version 8.3.17.4 Supported on M I/O Aggregator Usage Information In some network topologies, you may prefer that server-facing ports on an Aggregator remain up and continue transmitting traffic without being automatically disabled when LAG 128 connectivity to an upstream switch/router goes down. In the event of a loss in upstream connectivity, you can enter the uplink-state-group-1 configuration level to: • Disable UFD link tracking to keep downstream server ports operationally up. • Configure the defer timer used for UFD link tracking. The defer timer prevents unwanted flapping of server ports when the uplink port channel (LAG 128) goes down and comes up. To re-enable the default UFD link-tracking configuration, enter the enable command in uplink-state-group-1 configuration mode. Related Commands defer-timer no enable Set the number of seconds to wait for the upstream link (LAG 128) to recover before disabling downstream server-facing links. Disables the default UFD link-tracking configuration. Uplink Failure Detection (UFD) | 243

In some network topologies, you may prefer that server-facing ports on an Aggregator remain up and
continue transmitting traffic without being automatically disabled when LAG 128 connectivity to an
upstream switch/router goes down. In the event of a loss in upstream connectivity, you can enter the
uplink-state-group-1 configuration level to:
Disable UFD link tracking to keep downstream server ports operationally up.
Configure the defer timer used for UFD link tracking. The defer timer prevents unwanted flapping
of server ports when the uplink port channel (LAG 128) goes down and comes up.
To re-enable the default UFD link-tracking configuration, enter the
enable
command in
uplink-state-group-1 configuration mode.
