Using a Port Replicator Important Do not remove the AC Adapter while you are using the port replicator. Removing it during use may cause the computer to malfunction. Enabling the CardBus Sockets (for Windows 95 Only) The port replicator might not function properly when you attach a computer to it that is in suspend mode. In such a case, enable the CardBus sockets by doing the following: 1 Click on Start and move the cursor to Settings and then click on Control Panel. 2 Double-click on System. 3 Click on Device Manager and PCMCIA socket. You will see two Texas Instruments PCI-1131 CardBus controller lines with an exclamation mark (!) under PCMCIA socket if the CardBus sockets are not enabled. 4 Click on one of the lines. Then click on the Remove button. 5 Click on the other line. Then click on the Remove button. 6 Click on the Refresh button. The CardBus sockets are now enabled. Chapter 2. Operating Your Computer 83

Using a Port Replicator
Important
Do not remove the AC Adapter while you are using the port
replicator.
Removing it during use may cause the computer
