Troubleshooting Charts Problem The ATA PC Card does not run correctly. If the PC Card is installed and configured but does not work, try the following actions: Action If the ATA PC Card is set up in CardSoft Mode, there are some cards that the system cannot correctly recognize. Change the card driver to Plug and Play as follows: 1. Click on Start. 2. Move the cursor over Programs and CardWorks. Then click on CardWizard. 3. Click on the right button in the card information window for the card driver that you want to change. 4. Click on Properties.. in the pop-up window. 5. Click on Drivers. a) Add a check mark in the box next to Change Card Driver by clicking on it. b) Click on Use Plug and Play; then click on OK. 6. Click on OK in the next window. 7. Remove the ATA PC Card, and then reinstall it. Now you can use the ATA PC Card. Modem card: Make sure all settings in the "Modem Control" panel and in your communication application correspond and are correct. SCSI card: Make sure the correct driver for the SCSI card is installed. Note: SCSI cards can be inserted while you are operating your computer, however, it is recommended that you insert them at boot time. Network card: Make sure all network components are correctly installed. Combo card: Make sure the correct driver for the Combo card is installed. Problem
Action
The ATA PC Card does
not run correctly.
If the ATA PC Card is set up in
CardSoft Mode
, there are some cards that the
system cannot correctly recognize.
Change the card driver to
Plug and Play
as
follows:
1. Click on
Start
.
2. Move the cursor over
Programs
and
CardWorks
.
Then click on
CardWizard
.
3. Click on the right button in the card information window for the card driver
that you want to change.
4. Click on
Properties..
in the pop-up window.
5. Click on
Drivers
.
a)
Add a check mark in the box next to
Change Card Driver
by clicking on
it.
b)
Click on
Use Plug and Play
; then click on
OK
.
6. Click on
OK
in the next window.
7. Remove the ATA PC Card, and then reinstall it.
Now you can use the ATA PC Card.
If the PC Card is installed
and configured but does

actions:
Modem card
:
Make sure all settings in the “Modem Control” panel and in
your communication application correspond and are correct.
SCSI card
:
Make sure the correct driver for the SCSI card is installed.
Note:

Network card
:
