167 CHAPTER 34 McAfee Backup and Restore Use McAfee® Backup and Restore to avoid accidental loss of your data by archiving your files to CD, DVD, USB drive, external hard drive, or network drive. Local archiving allows you to archive (back up) your personal data to CD, DVD, USB drive, external hard drive, or network drive. This provides you with a local copy of your records, documents, and other materials of personal interest in case of accidental loss. Before you begin using Backup and Restore, you can familiarize yourself with some of the most popular features. Details about configuring and using these features are provided throughout the Backup and Restore help. After browsing the program's features, you must ensure that you have adequate archive media available to perform local archives.
