If you are instructed to return the external SAS cable, follow all packaging instructions and use any packaging material that are supplied to you. Installing the external SAS cable To install the external SAS cable complete the following steps: 1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and "Installation guidelines" on page 35. 2. Turn off the server and all attached devices. 3. Disconnect all external cables and power cords. 4. Slide the server out of the rack. 5. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 39). 6. Remove the riser-card assembly (see "Removing the riser-card assembly" on page 84). 7. Remove the air baffle (see "Removing the air baffle" on page 41). 8.
