Installing a CD-RW/DVD drive To install the replacement CD-RW/DVD drive, complete the following steps. Release tab CD/DVD drive 1. Follow the instructions that come with the drive to set any jumpers or switches. Drive retention clip Alignment pins 2. Attach the drive-retention clip to the side of the drive. 3. From the front of the server, slide the drive into the CD-RW/DVD drive bay until the drive clicks into place. 4. Install the cover (see "Installing the cover" on page 40). 5. Installing
a
CD-RW/DVD
drive
To
install
the
replacement
CD-RW/DVD
drive,
complete
the
following
steps.
CD/DVD drive
Release tab
1.
Follow
the
instructions
that
come
with
the
drive
to
set
any
jumpers
or
switches.

2.
Attach
the
drive-retention
clip
to
the
side
of
the
drive.
3.
From
the
front
of
the
server,
slide
the
drive
into
the
CD-RW/DVD
drive
bay
until
the
drive
clicks
into
place.
4.
Install
the
cover
(see
“Installing
the
cover”
on
page
40).
5.
Slide
the
server
into
the
rack.
6.
Connect
the
cables
and
power
cords.
7.
Turn
on
all
attached
devices
and
the
server.
