DMZ Setup Settings (continued) Setting DNS Proxy Enable DNS Proxy Description (or Subfield and Description) This is optional. Select the Enable DNS Proxy radio button to enable the VPN firewall to provide a LAN IP address for DNS address name resolution. This setting is enabled by default. 3. Click Apply to save your settings. Note: The DMZ LED next to LAN port 4 (see "Front Panel" on page 1-7) lights green to indicate that the DMZ port is enabled. For information about how to define the DMZ WAN rules and LAN DMZ rules, see "Setting DMZ WAN Rules" on page 4-14 and "Setting LAN DMZ Rules" on page 4-18, respectively. Managing Routing Static routes provide additional routing information to your VPN firewall. Under normal circumstances, the VPN firewall has adequate routing information after it has been configured for Internet access, and you do not need to configure additional static routes. You should configure static routes only for unusual cases such as multiple firewalls or multiple IP subnets located on your network. Note: The VPN firewall automatically sets up routes between VLANs and secondary IP addresses that you have configured on the LAN Multi-homing screen (see "Configuring Multi-Home LAN IP Addresses on the Default VLAN" on page 3-12).
