Chapter 14 File not found Cause: There is not enough available memory on your computer to create a print preview file. Solution: Close some applications and try the task again. File format not supported Cause: The HP All-in-One software did not recognize or support the file format of the image you are trying to open or save. If the file extension indicates it is a supported file type, the file might be corrupted. Solution: Open the file in another application, and save it in a format that the HP Allin-One software recognizes. Solution: Make sure that you are not using any invalid symbols in the file name. NOTE: Although the file name might look correct, it could still include invalid characters. Overwrite the existing file name with a new name. Supported file types for the HP All-in-One The HP All-in-One software recognizes the following file formats: BMP, DCX, FPX, GIF, JPG, PCD, PCX, and TIF. File corrupted Cause: Some of the files on the inserted memory card or attached storage device are damaged. Solution: Reinsert the memory card or storage device in the HP All-in-One or try transferring the files to your computer using a memory card reader or a USB cable. If you already transferred the files to your computer, try printing those files by using the HP Photosmart Software. The copies might not be damaged. If these solutions do not work, retake the photos with your digital camera as a last resort. Cause: The file system is corrupted.
