Installing Hardware Options IMPORTANT: DIMMs must be installed in pairs so that both slots in the bank are populated with identical DIMMs. 4. Open the DIMM slot latches (1). 5. Press down evenly on the DIMM until it is seated securely in the slot and the latches close. 7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to install the second DIMM in the pair. 8.
