108 Configuring nodes and interfaces Configuring appliance interfaces Table 8-3 Interface tab fields Field Description Expected Throughput TCP Reset Interface Description A drop-down menu that contains throughput ranges in Mbps or Gbps to select from. Choose a value that fits within the node's bandwidth license. The interface through which TCP resets will be sent. Provides a drop-down menu on models 7160/7161, allowing you to select from RST0, RST1, or RST2. These correspond to the Ethernet reset ports on the appliance. The port you select must be cabled correctly. The 7120 only has RST0. An optional description of the interface. About Networks tab fields There is only one field on the Networks tab in the Edit Monitoring Interface dialog box. Table 8-4 provides information about the Monitored Networks field. Table 8-4 Networks tab fields Field Description Monitored Networks The IP addresses in CIDR format of all networks monitored by this interface. The sample entry, 0.0.0.0/0, should be deleted. Editing a monitoring interface This section gives the procedure for editing a 7100 Series monitoring interface. To edit a monitoring interface 1 Right-click the interface object, and then select Edit. 2 In Edit Monitoring Interface, optionally enter a descriptive name for the interface. 3 In Customer ID, optionally enter a descriptive customer ID. 4 In Expected Throughput, click a value in the pull-down list. The selected value must be less than or equal to the bandwidth license for this node. See "Licensing" on page 91. 5 In TCP Reset Interface, click the reset interface in the pull-down list. The selected reset interface must be cabled to access the monitored network. See "Cabling" on page 49. 6 In Description, optionally enter descriptive text about this interface.
