Configuring nodes and interfaces 111 Configuring appliance interfaces Adding or editing an in-line pair This section describes the procedure for adding or editing an in-line pair. Note that the in-line pair choices are pre-defined in the Network Security console. Other interface combinations are not supported as in-line pairs. To add or edit an in-line pair 1 On the Devices tab, do one of the following: ■ Right-click on the 7100 Series node object and click Add In-line Pair in the pop-up menu. ■ Right-click on an existing in-line pair object and click Edit in the popup menu. 2 In Add In-line Pair or Edit In-line Pair, enter a descriptive name. 3 In Expected Throughput, click the expected throughput in the pull-down list. The selected value must be less than or equal to the bandwidth license for this node. See "Licensing" on page 91. 4 In Pair, click the interface pair in the pull-down list. The selected interfaces must be cabled for in-line mode. See "Cabling" on page 49. 5 In Description, optionally enter descriptive text about this in-line pair.
