Maintaining and administering the 7100 Series 153 Restarting, rebooting, and powering off To power off your appliance from the LCD 1 On the appliance front panel, press any button to change the LCD display. If the LCD screen is locked, see "Unlocking the LCD panel" on page 155 to unlock it. 2 Press any button to display the LCD run menu unless it is already displayed on the LCD screen. 3 Use the down arrow button to scroll through the menu until you see: SNS7120 5. Shutdown Host where 7120 is replaced by 7160 or 7161 depending on the model. 4 Press e to shut down and power off the appliance. Powering off the appliance from the serial console This section describes the procedure for powering off the appliance from the serial console. To power off the appliance from the serial console 1 Connect your laptop or other serial device to the appliance with the serial console cable. 2 Using a serial terminal application, login to the appliance as secadm. 3 Type the command: shutdown Wait for the appliance to shut down and power off. Your console session will be terminated as the appliance shuts down.
