134 Monitoring and reporting events and status Monitoring appliance status Table 10-2 Monitoring interface status parameters Parameter Event Statistics ■ Events/Second Flow Statistics ■ New TCP Flows/Second ■ Established TCP Flows Link Information ■ Link Status ■ Link Speed (Mbps) ■ Link Duplex Explanation The number of security events per second seen on the interface. Displayed for each sensor process. The number of new TCP flows per second on the interface. Displayed for each sensor process. The current number of existing TCP flows on the interface. Displayed for each sensor process. Whether the interface link is up or down. The configured link speed on the interface, in megabits per second. Full or half duplex. In-line pair status parameters When you click an in-line pair, the following parameters are displayed: Table 10-3 In-line pair status parameters Parameter Explanation Packet Statistics ■ Receive Bit Rate (bps) The bits per second currently being received on the in-line pair. ■ Transmit Bit Rate (pps) The bits per second currently being transmitted on the in-line pair. ■ Receive Packet Rate (pps) The packets per second currently being received on the in-line pair. Displayed for each sensor process. ■ Average Packet Size (bytes) The packet size in bytes averaged over the last statistics interval. ■ Distribution of Packets Received (%) The percentage of total packets received over the last statistics interval. Displayed for each sensor process. ■ Blocked Packets The number of blocked packets on this in-line pair during the last statistics interval.
