The selected value must be less than or equal to the bandwidth license for this node. See "Licensing" on page 91. 4 In TCP Reset Interface, click the reset interface in the pull-down list. The selected reset interface must be cabled to access the monitored network. See "Cabling" on page 49. 5 In Description, optionally enter descriptive text about this interface group. 6 On the Networks tab, select the default entry, and click Edit to enter a monitored network address, and then click OK. Click Add to enter any other networks protected by this interface. Enter the network IP addresses in CIDR format. Caution: You must replace the default entry, 0.0.0.0/0, in the Networks tab with valid monitored networks in CIDR format before starting a sensor on the interface. If you fail to take this step, the database can fill with invalid data and result in a loss of detection and alerting functionality. 7 On the Interfaces tab, press Ctrl and select multiple interfaces for the interface group. You can select up to four interfaces for a single interface group. 8 Click OK to add the interface group object to the topology tree. Note: Click Topology > Save Changes before quitting the Network Security console. Any unsaved changes will be lost upon quitting the console. The interface group object is displayed in the topology tree, with the designated interfaces listed below it.
