Monitoring and reporting events and status 129 Generating reports To view incident details 1 On the Incidents tab, in the upper Incidents pane, right-click any incident row. 2 Click View Incident Details from the pull-down list. 3 In Incident Details, view the information. 4 Optionally click Top Event to view the highest priority event correlated to the incident. 5 Click Close. 6 Click OK. Viewing event details Event data for an incident is displayed in the lower pane of the Incidents tab. You can display detailed descriptions of the events. To view event details 1 On the Incidents tab, click an incident row. 2 In Events at Selected Incident, right-click an event row. 3 Click View Event Details from the pop-up list. 4 View the information. 5 Click Close. Managing incident data You can mark, annotate, email, copy and paste, save, and print incident data. You can also change the display by using filters and by choosing table columns. Generating reports Symantec Network Security provides a comprehensive reporting facility that allows you to generate reports manually or automatically using more than twenty predefined report types. The reports contain detailed data about the events and incidents that occurred during the specified time frame. They offer drill-down data retrieval and dynamic charts and graphs. You can save the reports in several different formats, including HTML, PDF, and PS.
