Installing a BigIron RX-32 switch 2 The BigIron RX-32 chassis ships in a wooden crate, bolted to an inner pallet, and resting on an outer pallet. Follow the steps given below to uncrate the chassis. NOTE To uncrate the BigIron RX-32 chassis, the crate must be in the upright (vertical) position. 1. Position the crate so that you have access to the front and the rear. There must be enough space to the rear of the pallet to slide and remove the crate. 2. Use a power drill with Phillips and large blade screwdriver attachments to remove the bolts and screws that hold the front shipping panel in place, as shown in Figure 40. Remove the remaining bolts and screws along the bottom of the crate that attach the crate to the pallet. 4. Slide the sides, top, and back of the crate backwards as one unit until it clears the pallet. 5. Save the crate (including the shipping panel) in case the chassis needs to be shipped again. The BigIron RX-32 chassis ships in a wooden crate, bolted to an inner pallet, and resting on an
outer pallet. Follow the steps given below to uncrate the chassis.
NOTE
To uncrate the BigIron RX-32 chassis, the crate must be in the upright (vertical) position.
1.
Position the crate so that you have access to the front and the rear. There must be enough
space to the rear of the pallet to slide and remove the crate.
2.
Use a power drill with Phillips and large blade screwdriver attachments to remove the bolts and
screws that hold the front shipping panel in place, as shown in
Figure 40
. Remove the front
shipping panel and set it aside.
