During initialization: steady blinking. After initialization: occasional blinking. The active management module's processor and the interface module's processor are communicating. Off for an extended period. The module is not receiving power. You can do the following: • Make certain that the module is installed properly. For more information, refer to "Installing BigIron RX-4 modules" on page 33, "Installing BigIron RX-8 modules" on page 42, "Installing BigIron RX-16 modules" on page 52, or "Installing BigIron RX-32 modules" on page 62. • The module may not be receiving enough power. Brocade recommends installing power supplies in a fully redundant configuration as described in "Installing power supplies in a BigIron RX-4 chassis" on page 35, "Installing power supplies in the BigIron RX-8 chassis" on page 44, "Installing power supplies in a BigIron RX-16 chassis" on page 54, or "Installing power supplies in a BigIron RX-32 chassis" on page 75. • Check the Pwr LED on the management module. If it is on, this module may be holding the power from the interface module. • Enter the show chassis command at any level of the CLI to determine if the management module recognizes the presence of all power sources. • If using AC power supplies, see the entry for the AC power supply LED in this table for more information. The interface module may be in interactive mode. Check the status of the module by entering the show module command at any CLI prompt. 82 BigIron RX Installation Guide 53-1001811-01
