CAUTION Note Scanner assembly Avoid touching the flatbed glass or the ADF separation pad. Skin oils and fingerprints can contaminate the glass or pad and cause print quality or paper pickup problems. It is not necessary to remove the flatbed lid before removing the scanner assembly. However, removing the flatbed lid will make the scanner assembly lighter and easier to handle when it is removed. To remove the flatbed lid, see Flatbed lid. 1. Remove the ADF input tray. See ADF input tray. 2. Remove one screw (callout 1). Figure 5-75. Remove the scanner assembly (1 of 13) 3. Note
It is not necessary to remove the flatbed lid before removing the scanner assembly. However,
removing the flatbed lid will make the scanner assembly lighter and easier to handle when it is
