Resetting the Printer

Resetting the Printer Reset the printer with caution. You can lose buffered page data or printer configuration data when you reset. Only use it in the following circumstances: • You want to restore the default printer settings. • Communication between the printer and computer is interrupted. • You are using both the serial and parallel I/O ports, and one of the ports is having problems. Four different resets are available through the RESETS MENU on the control panel. Each reset will affect different settings for the printer. Reset Action Memory Reset Clears memory Factory Default Resets menus to defaults Active I/O Reset Resets Active I/O Port All I/O Reset Resets all I/O Ports See the "Resets Menu" in Chapter 3 for further details on each reset.
