Setting Black and White Options If you select black and white as your scan mode, you can also select one of the following black and white options from the C530 (or C560) tab: s Threshold The Threshold option provides a high contrast evaluation of the image in terms of blacks and whites only. This option is useful when scanning documents with text. s Halftone The Halftone option simulates the tonal range of an image with a precise pattern of lines and dots.
