Exporting the Address Book Address Book information can only be exported for individual entries. Group addresses cannot be exported. You can export the Address Book from the Desktop Manager as an ASCII text file. Exported address information can be separated by either commas or tabs. If you want to have address information separated by commas, select to export to the .CSV file format. If you want to have the address information in the text file separated by tabs, select to export to the .TXT file format. When you export a file from the Address Book, you can use the Import/Export File Fields dialog box to specify the order that you want the file fields to appear in your saved file. For example, if you wanted your entries to be listed first by their company name, last name, and then first name, you would arrange the fields in the File Fields box in that order. To export the Address Book: 1. With the Address Book open, click Export. 2. A message displays informing you that Group addresses cannot be exported. Click Yes to close the message.
