Launching the PowerVault NAS Configuration Utility To launch this utility on Windows-based operating systems: 1 Access the Windows desktop and double-click the PowerVault NX3500 Configuration Utility icon, or access the Windows start menu and navigate to All ProgramsDellPowerVault NAS. 2 Click on PowerVault NX3500 Configuration Utility. To launch this utility on Linux-based operating systems: 1 Execute the PowerVault NAS Configuration Utility from a terminal prompt. 2 Ensure that the currently logged-on terminal user is root To change the user to root: a At the prompt, type su and enter the root password at the prompt. b Navigate to the root home folder by typing cd ~/. c Execute the PowerVault NAS Configuration Utility by typing /bin/sh ./Dell-PV-NAS-Config-Utility.
