If in doubt as to a particular function, only perform it while the car is parked. No feature should be used unless it is safe to do so under the driving conditions you are experiencing. When connecting iPhone or smartphone with applications installed, you can control, view, and/or hear application content from this navigation system. p In this chapter, iPhone and iPod touch will be referred to as iPhone. In this navigation system, you can use the following applications. ! Pandora® ! Aha Radio p Be sure to read Using app-based connected content before you perform this operation. = For details, refer to Using app-based con- nected content on page 191. p Even if you switch to another source while listening to Aha Radio contents, playback of the contents continues when you switch back to the Aha Radio source. p When you are talking on a cellular phone connected to this navigation system via Bluetooth wireless technology, playback is paused temporarily. Playback resumes when you hang up. Information for compatibility of connected devices The following is detailed information regarding the devices required to use the Pandora® and the Aha Radio application on this navigation system. For iPhone users ! The device has iOS 3.0 or higher. ! A USB interface cable for iPod (sold separately) must be used to connect your iPhone to this navigation system. For smartphone users ! The following conditions apply to the use of this function. - The device has Android OS 2.2 or high- er. - The device supports Bluetooth SPP (Se- rial Port Profile). - The device supports Bluetooth A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) (for AVIC-X850BT and AVIC-X8510BT ). p Compatibility with all Android devices is not guaranteed. For details about Android device compatibility with this navigation system, refer to the information on our website. ! An App Connectivity Kit (CD-AH200) (sold separately) is required for connection to this navigation system (for AVIC-Z150BH and AVIC-X950BH). ! The device is connected to this navigation system via Bluetooth. Starting procedure The procedure varies depending on your type of device. For iPhone users 1 Prepare the navigation system to connect to your iPhone. = For details, refer to Selecting the device connection method on page 157. 2 Start up the Pandora or Aha application installed on the iPhone. p Before starting up, sign in to Pandora or Aha Radio from your iPhone. 3 Connect your iPhone. p If the iPhone is already connected, touch [Pandora] or [aha] on the left side of the screen.
