120 Storage Servers 3 System management tools Note: In this guide the term "storage servers" refer to "storage system". When you add a storage system to the list of targets in your iSCSI initiator, information about your storage system is saved on your computer. However, this information is not automatically detected by SAN Disk Manager. In order to see information about existing virtual disks that have been assigned to the client, you must add the storage system to SAN Disk Manager. When you click Storage Servers in the SAN Disk Manager navigation tree, the right pane displays a list of all the storage systems that have been added to SAN Disk Manager. For each listed storage system, the right pane displays the following information: • Name of the storage system • IP address of the storage system • Protocol currently enabled on the storage system (ISCSI and/or FC) • Version number of the storage system software • Build number of the storage system software • Status of the storage system (Normal, Invalid Storage Server, Invalid Storage Server protocol information, or Storage Server does not support IMA) Using SAN Disk Manager, you can add and delete storage systems, change their protocol settings, and view their properties.
