178 Updating the BIOS 4 Managing the storage system The BIOS page displays the current version of the BIOS that is installed on your storage system. It also allows you to upgrade it if newer BIOS becomes available. For additional security, you must enter your administrator password in order to upgrade the firmware. Caution: Updating the BIOS is an inherently dangerous activity that could potentially render your system inoperative. Without the BIOS, the storage system will be unable to boot. Be sure to back up all important files before starting the BIOS update procedure.

Updating the BIOS
The BIOS page displays the current version of the BIOS that is installed
