166 4 Managing the storage system 3 Make the desired changes: To change this Do this The storage system name In the Storage system name text box, enter the new name to use for the storage system. This name can be up to 15 characters long and can include letters, numbers, and hyphens. Note: If you change the name of the storage system, be sure to also change that name in any local hosts files or on the DNS server in your network. The storage system does not register its name with your DNS server automatically. In Active Directory authentication mode, you cannot change the storage system name. The system date, time, or time zone In the Date fields, enter or select the desired month, date, and year. In the Time field, enter or select the desired hour, minute, and second. In the Time zone list, select the desired time zone. Note: You can manually adjust the time and/or time zone as needed. Network Time Protocol (NTP) server name or IP address Enable the NTP server name or IP address check box then enter the name or IP address of the NTP server from which the storage system should set its time. You can use a name only if it is resolvable. The storage system will synchronize its time with the NTP server when the NTP server is set and will synchronize the time with the NTP server once per day at midnight (12:00AM). The administrator name or password In the Administrator name text box, enter the user name to use for logging in to the IPStor Express Manager. In the Password and Confirm password text boxes, enter the password to use for logging in to the IPStor Express Manager. It cannot contain multi-byte words. This means you can only enter ASCII character whose code value is less than 128. The user name and password are case-sensitive. 4 Click Apply. 5 When the confirmation message displays, click OK.
