199 Or, select the "Do not encrypt backed-up data" option if you do not wish to use this feature, then click Next. 5 When you choose to encrypt data, your credentials - user name and password (secret phrase, if any), are sent to the IPStor Express Storage System for authentication. If they are validated, you can save the secret phrase to a file. It is strongly recommended that you save your secret phrase to a removable media that can be stored in a secure location. If you need to reinstall FileSafe Express (for instance, if your hard drive becomes disabled), you will not be able to recover backed-up data unless you can provide the original secret phrase. The consequence would be permanent loss of your data. (1) Enter a file name and click Browse to specify a location for the file. (2) Click Finish when you are done. The FileSafe Express Management Console opens automatically. Select the Computer tab and choose the folders and files you want to back up. 6 Click Close in the final setup screen, the FileSafe Express setup is complete.
