The MultiPASS may not be set for the type of telephone line in use (pulse/tone). If you have a pulse line, be sure the MultiPASS is set for pulse dialing. The document may not have been fed correctly into the MultiPASS. Remove the document, stack it, and feed it into the unit correctly (see page 1-14). Make sure the operator panel is closed. The one-touch or coded speed dialing number you used may not be registered for the feature you want to use. Check the one-touch or coded speed dialing button and be sure it is registered correctly. The other party's fax may be out of paper. Call the other party and ask them to make sure paper is installed.
