Problem Poor line art scan results Cause Increase resolution. Poor quality scanned image on screen Poor quality scan Your screen representation may be inaccurate. Your scan mode may be incorrect. Your resolution setting may be incorrect. Your application settings may be incorrect. Solution Line art scans should be performed at very high resolutions (in excess of 300 dpi). Open the Monitors and Sound panel from the Control Panels command in the Apple Menu. If scanning line art, make sure you select Line Art mode and adjust your settings to Thousands or Millions. Ensure that you set the proper resolution for the MultiPASS. If importing the scanned image into another application, review the software's documentation to help resolve the problem. Telephone Problems Problem You cannot dial Cause The telephone line may not be connected properly. The unit may not be getting power. The MultiPASS may not be set for the type of telephone line in use (pulse/tone). Solution Be sure the telephone line is correctly connected to the MultiPASS (see your Quick Start Guide). Make sure the power cord is connected to the MultiPASS and to an AC outlet; make sure the AC outlet has power. If you have a pulse line, be sure the MultiPASS is set for pulse dialing (see page 3-4).
