Chapter 3 Preparations Note The time zone is reset to the factory default when you execute the maintenance menu item M49: RESET ALL SETUP. You will need to set it again. The date and time are not reset. 2 Turn the PUSH SET knob to select the area of use. Display UC (for regions outside Japan) or J (for Japan), and then press the SET function button (F5). The system frequency screen appears. 3 Turn the PUSH SET knob to select the system frequency. 4 Display the system frequency that you want to use, and then press the SET function button (F5). The message "NOW SAVING..." appears, and the setting screen disappears. Then the unit powers itself off and on again. To return to the original screen without saving settings Press the RETURN function button (F1). To set the date and time Use the maintenance menu item M3D: DATE/TIME PRESET. Japan), and then press the SET function button (F5).
The system frequency screen appears.

frequency.

then press the SET function button (F5).

setting screen disappears. Then the unit powers itself
off and on again.
To return to the original screen without saving
settings
Press the RETURN function button (F1).
To set the date and time
Use the maintenance menu item M3D: DATE/TIME
PRESET.
