Linear Editing Note For linear editing, install the optional XDBK-105 and set the unit to VTR mode. To configure VTR mode, set maintenance menu item M397 PORT CONFIGURATION to "VTR mode". It may not be possible to edit clips that been created by other software applications and uploaded to this unit as files. Recording, Playback and Copying
When the unit is in a mode that calls for playback across
clips that were recorded in different recording formats,
video and audio playback may stop at the point where
the format changes from one format into another, and
then start again.
If a transition point between two clips with different
recording formats exists in the preroll segment, that
segment cannot be edited.
Linear Editing
For linear editing, install the optional XDBK-105 and set
the unit to VTR mode. To configure VTR mode, set
maintenance menu item M397 PORT CONFIGURATION
to “VTR mode”.
Overview
You can perform the following types of editing on
recorded clips.
Locked clips cannot be edited.
Editing across multiple clips is not possible.
If there is no space on the internal storage, the clip
cannot be edited.
Linear editing is not supported for the following clips.
Edit clips after re-recording to internal storage using the
transcode copy function
(see page 69)
