Introduction Main features Your product is a color inkjet printer designed for printing high-quality images on paper up to 1118 mm (44 in) wide, with an integrated color scanner capable of scanning images up to 914 mm (36 in) wide and 2378 mm (93.62 in) long. Some major features of the product are shown below: ● Print resolution of up to 2400 × 1200 optimized dpi, from a 1200 × 1200 dpi input, using the Best print-quality option, the Maximum Detail option and photo paper ● Scan resolution of up to 600 dpi, in RGB color with 24 bits per pixel, or grayscale with 8 bits per pixel, or black and white with 1 bit per pixel ● The product can be controlled from its front panel or from a remote computer using the Embedded Web Server or the HP Utility ● Touch-sensitive front panel in color, with an intuitive graphical user interface ● Job previews in the front panel and on remote computers ● Driverless printing: files in common graphical formats can be printed directly without needing a printer driver ● Walk-up printing: just insert a USB flash drive or connect a laptop computer containing your files ● Walk-up scanning: just insert a USB flash drive to receive your scanned images, or scan to a network folder ● Paper flexibility and automatic easy load, see Printer paper handling on page 41 ● The printer handles cut-sheet and roll paper; the scanner handles cut-sheet paper ● Six-ink system ● Accurate and consistent color reproduction with automatic color calibration ● Color emulations, see Printer emulation on page 91 ● Economode for printing economically ● Two rolls loaded at once provide fast and easy switching between different rolls, or long runs of unattended printing ● Job management, see Job queue management on page 79 ● High productivity features such as job previewing and nesting ● Ink and paper usage information available ● Printer and scanner calibration if required ● Access to the online HP Knowledge Center (see Knowledge Center on page 189) ENWW Main features 5
