Accessories Introduction to the accessories PostScript upgrade The PostScript upgrade provides a PostScript interpreter, enabling you to send PostScript and PDF files to the printer and save scanned images as PDF files. The PostScript upgrade should be plugged into the Hi-Speed USB host port at the rear of the product. External hard disk accessory This external hard disk enables you to remove the hard disk for security reasons. It should be plugged into the Hi-Speed USB host port at the rear of the product. NOTE: Other external hard disk drives are not supported because they may exceed the USB standard power supply requirements. Spindle With extra spindles, you can change rapidly from one paper type to another. Jetdirect print server Jetdirect print servers support extra connectivity and security options beyond those provided in the standard Gigabit Ethernet interface built into the product. Introduction to the accessories

PostScript upgrade

The PostScript upgrade provides a PostScript interpreter, enabling you to send PostScript and PDF files

to the printer and save scanned images as PDF files. The PostScript upgrade should be plugged into the

Hi-Speed USB host port at the rear of the product.

External hard disk accessory

This external hard disk enables you to remove the hard disk for security reasons. It should be plugged

into the Hi-Speed USB host port at the rear of the product.

NOTE:

Other external hard disk drives are not supported because they may exceed the USB

standard power supply requirements.

Spindle

With extra spindles, you can change rapidly from one paper type to another.

Jetdirect print server

Jetdirect print servers support extra connectivity and security options beyond those provided in the
