Operation Panel Data Security (Data Security setting) This is to change the Security Password, perform HDD initialization and perform data sanitization. • HDD Initializ. Data Security: a b *1**H*D*D**I*n*i*t**i*a*l*i*z*.***2 DataSanitization [ Exit ] 1 In the Security menu, press U or V to select Data Security. 2 Press [OK]. The Data Security menu screen appears. HDD Initializ. (Hard Disk Initialization) This is to change the Security Password and initialize on HDD. • Data Overwrite (data overwrite setting)...6-95 • SecurityPassword (Change the Security Password)...6-95 • Initialization (Initialize on HDD)...6-96 Note The HDD Initializ. menu is used with the optional Data Security Kit (E). The SecurityPassword input menu screen appears. Note The initial setting for the Security Password is "000000". For details on entering characters, refer to Character Entry Method on page A-6. 4 Press [OK]. If the Security Password entered is correct, the HDD Initializ. menu screen appears. If the Security Password entered was not correct, Incorrect password is displayed and the SecurityPassword screen reappears. Enter the correct Security Password. 6-94
