Applying Effects via Send and Return 6 Move the cursor to the PRE/POST button and press the [ENTER] key to switch the location from which the signal will be sent from each channel to the Effect buses. Select PRE for pre-fader or POST for post-fader send. 7 To adjust the effect mix balance (the balance between the effect and direct signals), press the [F3] key. The EFFECT screen FX Edit page will appear. 8 Use MIX BALANCE field knob to adjust the balance between the direct and effect signals. When applying an effect via the effect sends and returns the effect mix level is usually set to 100% (effect sound only). HINT • The effect parameters can be edited as required via the FX Edit page. Refer to "Editing Effects" on page 121 for details. 9 The effect send master levels can be adjusted via faders 9-12 after pressing the Layer section [MASTER] key. When the MASTER mixing layer is selected faders 9- 12 control the master send levels for effects 1-4, respectively. You can view and edit the various parameters for each master send channel by pressing [SEL] key 9-12 and then calling the CH VIEW screen View page. 14 10 To adjust the effect return levels press the Layer section [IN 1-8] or [IN 9-16] key, and use faders 9-12 to adjust the corresponding return levels. When mixing layer IN 1-8 or IN 9-16 is selected faders 9-12 control the return levels for effects 1-4, respectively. You can view and edit the various parameters for each return channel by pressing [SEL] key 9- 12 and then calling the CH VIEW screen View page.
