Using the Copier Function Making 2-sided Copies This section describes how to make 2-sided copies by copying single-sided documents onto the front and back sides of each sheet. The Type 2 model supports automatic duplex copying, and the Type 1 model supports manual duplex copying. Making 2-sided Copies Automatically (Type 2 model) This section describes how to configure the machine to make 2-sided copies automatically. If you enable this function, the machine will copy single-sided documents onto the front and back sides of each sheet. 4 Important ❒ This function is only available when the original is set in the ADF, not when it is set on the exposure glass. ❒ The paper size must be A4, Letter or Legal. ❒ The paper type must be thin, plain, recycled, color, preprinted or prepunched.
