Data Connection Status and Indicators Your phone displays the current data connection status with indicators at the top of the screen: Your data connection is active (data is being transferred); the transmit/receive symbol will blink to indicate data transmission. During data usage, you can receive incoming voice calls or SMS messages; outgoing voice calls can be made, but the data services connection will terminate. Your data connection is dormant (no data is being sent or received). Though not currently active, when dormant the phone can restart an active connection quickly; voice calls can be made and received. If no indicator displays, the data connection is not active. To launch a connection, see "Launching a Data Connection" on page 139. Navigating the Web Navigating menus and Web sites during a data session is easy once you've learned a few basics. Softkeys During a data session, the bottom line of your phone's display contains shortcut controls for navigating the Web, which correspond to the softkeys directly below the display. Data Connection Status and Indicators
Your phone displays the current data connection status
with indicators at the top of the screen:
Your data connection is active (data is being
