Note Note To print a booklet in Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, and Windows NT 4.0 1 Open the printer driver (see "Changing the settings for a print job" on page 120). 2 On the Finishing tab, select the number of Print on Both Sides. 3 Select Flip Pages Up, if necessary. 4 Select the booklet layout from the Booklet Printing drop-down list. The image to the right of the list illustrates the layout. 5 Click OK. To print a booklet in Windows 2000 and Windows XP 1 Open the printer driver (see "Changing the settings for a print job" on page 120). 2 On the Finishing tab, select the number of Print on Both Sides. 3 Select Flip Pages Up, if necessary. 4 Select the booklet layout from the Booklet Layout drop-down list. The image to the right of the list illustrates the layout. 5 Click OK. The preceding procedures change the printer's settings for a print job. To change the printer's default settings, see "Changing default settings" on page 120. To print a booklet (Macintosh) Before printing a booklet for the first time, make sure that you have installed the HP Manual Duplex and Booklet software. This software requires a custom installation and is available for Mac OS 9.2.2 and earlier. 1 In the software application, click Print on the File menu. 2 Select Layout from the pull-down menu. 3 Click Print on Both Sides. 4 Select Plug-In Preferences from the drop-down menu, Print-Time Filters, and Booklet. 5 Click Save Settings. 6 Click Booklet Printing. 7 Click Format Booklet. 8 Select the Paper Size from the pull-down menu. 9 Click Print. Mac OS X does not have the ability to print a booklet. 152 Printing a booklet ENWW
