Output devices Note The 3,000-sheet stacker, the 3,000-sheet stapler/stacker, and the multifunction finisher are available accessories for the HP color LaserJet 9500hdn. For information about the size and capacity of the output bins, see "Supported media sizes for input and output" on page 97. Multifunction finisher The multifunction finisher (product number C8088A) can stack documents, staple documents, and make booklets. The stacker bin holds up to 1,000 sheets of letter- or A4size media (up to 500 sheets of 11 by 17- or A3-size media). Stapling The multifunction finisher uses a replaceable 5,000-staple cartridge (product number C8092A). Up to 50 sheets of A4- or letter-size media, or up to 25 sheets of A3-, B4-, legalor 11 by 17-size media, can be stapled. Print jobs that have more than 50 sheets of A4- or letter-size media, or more than 25 sheets of A3-, B4-, legal- or 11 by 17-size media, are printed but are not stapled. If the stack of media to be stapled is thicker than 5.5 mm (0.21 inches), the multifunction finisher does not staple the stack. Therefore, if you are using media that is heavier than 80 g/m2 (21-lb bond), use the following table to determine the stapling capacity for the media.
