1 Replacing the image transfer kit Use this procedure to install the image transfer kit. Note Remove your jewelry, which can snag on parts inside the printer. 1 Replace the image transfer kit when REPLACE TRANSFER KIT 2 appears on the control panel display. 2 If tray 1 is open, remove any paper loaded in the tray, and then close the tray. 3 Open the front doors of the printer, and then swing the large green lever down. 4 Open the upper door on the right side of the printer. 3 Note Residual toner might be on the transfer belt; before removing the belt, prepare a paper-covered surface on which to place it. If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry cloth and wash the clothing in cold water.
